Winter Tour with a Mixed Emphasis
Enjoy a mixture of 4×4 driving and skiing on this 13 day trip. This itinerary includes stops at places like Kyzyl Oi, Eki Naryn, Tash Rabat, Karakol, and Altyn Arashan. Available as a full tour with driver guides and as a self-driver tour. Pricing for groups of 8 or more.

Winter Tour with an Emphasis on 4×4 Driving
Challenge your driving and adventure skills with this 13 day back-country adventure. Including stops such as the fabulous Kel Suu lake near the Chinese border, and a number of frozen waterfalls, this trip is aimed at those ready for a true winter adventure. Pricing for groups of 8 or more.

Winter Tour with a Skiing Emphasis
Hit the slopes with this 12 day tour of Kyrgyzstan’s fabulous and snowy mountains. Go off-piste skiing in Suusamyr and check out Karakol’s varied routes. Throw in some adventurous locations and frozen waterfalls, and this might well be the perfect ski trip in Kyrgyzstan. Price for groups of 8 or more.

Friday Evening: Pickup after work and drive to Kyzyl Oi (4-5 hours drive). Dinner not included.
Saturday: Hiking and horseback riding near the village. Check the small hot spring on the river. Opportunities for a cooking class or other local life learning. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included in the price.
Sunday: Drive further south from the village and check out the strange rock formations there. Return through Suusamyr stopping at the Scythian burial mounds there and other local points of interest. Arrive in Bishkek in the evening. Breakfast and lunch included, dinner at the client’s discretion.
Note: Overall this is a relaxing trip without a lot scheduled. The village is very remote and scenic in it’s own right. Megacom phones work there, but internet does not. This might be just the trip to unplug, read a book, go for some long walks, and eat some good food.

Friday Evening: Pickup after work and drive to Karakol (6-7 hours drive).
Saturday: Spend the day at the ski base. Transportation to and from the base as well as lift tickets included. Breakfast included in the price, lunch and dinner are at the client’s discretion.
Sunday: Visit the morning animal market if active. Check out the Russian Orthodox Church and Dungan Mosque as well as visit the city museum (if open, subject to periodic closures). Return in the afternoon and evening to Bishkek. Breakfast included in the price. Lunch and dinner are at the discretion of the client.
Sunday Option 2: Sunday morning visit the animal market, if open, and then head out of Karakol along the southern shore of Issyk Kul. Visit the Jeti Oguz to photograph the stunning rock formations in the snow, then stop at Barskoon gorge to check out the frozen waterfalls. Lunch and dinner are at the discretion of the client.

Saturday: Start early and drive across Too Ashu (stop at the base if you want to ski a time or two there), then drive down through the Suusamyr valley (stopping at Scythian burial mounds if you are interested) and on through the stunning Kokomeren river gorge to the village of Kyzyl Oi. Night in Kyzyl Oi at a small guesthouse by the river. For tour clients lunch and dinner are included.
Sunday: Drive further south from the village stopping to check out the strange rock formations there. Continue on along the Kokomeren river toward Chaek. After Chaek cross the Kyzart pass towards Kochkor. From Kochkor take the asphalt road over the Orto Tokoi pass and through Boom Gorge to Bishkek. For tour clients breakfast and lunch are included.
