2 Days: Charyn Canyon & Kolsai Lakes
Day 1. Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Saty Village
– Morning departure from Almaty (hotel pick-up).
– Drive to Charyn Canyon (approx. 3–3.5 hours).
Walk along the famous Valley of Castles, hiking down to the river (easy to moderate trail, optional).
– Free time for photos and exploration.
– Lunch (picnic).
– Afternoon transfer to Saty Village (about 1.5–2 hours).
– Check-in at a local guesthouse.
– Traditional homemade dinner.
– Overnight in Saty.
Day 2. Kolsai Lake – Activities
– Breakfast at the guesthouse.
– Transfer to Kolsai Lake (First Lake).
– Free time at the lake:
Hiking along the scenic mountain trail
Easy walking around the lake
Horse riding (optional)
Boat rental (optional)
– Lunch at a local café or picnic.
– Around 5:00 PM departure back to Almaty
– Dinner in Uighur café on the way.
– Evening arrival in Almaty and drop-off at the hotel.
